Specsavers branch to recycle hearing aids
For many years Specsavers in St Sepulchre Gate has run a successful scheme to recycle unwanted spectacles and Nick Finn, the hearcare director, is launching a similar campaign to get people across Doncaster to give their old hearing aids to the charity Sound Seekers for people in countries such as The Gambia, Zambia and Sierra Leone.
Said Nick: “This is one of the first schemes anywhere in the country to offer people the chance to recycle hearing aids – if it is a success in Doncaster I am sure it will be expanded to allow people across the UK to make a real difference to the quality of life people with hearing conditions.”

Now that the NHS have stopped issuing digital aids is there anywhere i can purchase analogue hearing aids for my son. He has been using NHS aids since he was 4 yrs, he is now 24 ,he has tried digital and really dislikes them. I would be so grateful of any advice you can offer.
He has been diagnoised with EVAS enlarged vestibular aquduct syndrome which means he will lose what small amount of hearing he has, so we are looking for a short term soloutiuon to this analoue aid problem.
